Lineage and Pucca to receive the President's Medal for the contribution to foreign export

Kim, Jin-Taek, CEO of NCSoft Inc., which made Korea one of the most advanced countries in games with the export of its online game Lineage, and Kim, Bu-Kyeong, Ceo of VOOZ, which exported its character Pucca to 110 countries worldwide, will receive the President's Medal for their contribution to Korean culture content's advance into the foreign market.

The Ministry of Culture and Tourism has announced 11 exporters in 2007 as the contributors to Korean cultural content's foreign export, a distinction that has been given since 2002 as part of efforts to promote the importance of cultural content's export and encourage the creation of cultural content.

This year, the Minister of Culture and Tourism named as recipients of the President's Medal the following: Kim, Jin-Taek, CEO of NCSoft Inc., which contributed to the expansion of Korea's game export by its hugely successful online game series Lineage and Lineage 2; and Kim, Bu-Kyeong, CEO of VOOZ who has exhibited a rare successful case of export in the character industry by exporting its character Pucca in 110 countries since its debut in foreign markets in 2002.

The awarding ceremony for the contributors to Korean cultural content's advance into foreign market, which is aimed at promoting cultural content's export and creation by recognizing such contributors, will be held on Jan. 21, 2008 at the Cultural Content Center in Sangam-dong, Seoul.

The event will be participated in by Kim, Jong-Min, Minister of Culture and Tourism, some 150 officials in the cultural content industry and the awardees.
