▣ Nae Yojachingu-rul Sogaehapnida (Windstruck)
Once daily
Cine Core theater
Premiering last week here and in Hong Kong, the Romantic Comedy "Windstruck" did swift business on its first weekend, becoming the top choice for local audience and beating out such Hollywood hits as "Troy" and "The Day After Tomorrow". The film stars Jun Ji-hyun, of the hit comedy "Yopgijogin Kunyo (My Sassy Girl)", as a young sassy policewoman. Her romantic partner here is a shy, affable teacher played by Jang Hyuk, who showed off his comic skills in his previous film "Yongo Wanjon Chongbok (Please Teach Me English)". A film that goes from a near farcical comedy to a melancholy romance, "Windstruck" is not on par with "Sassy Girl", but it will appeal to the fans of the two stars, who keep the film going even when things get overly maudlin. Cine Core theater is located near Chonggak Station on subway line 1. Details: (02) 734-9565 or www.seoulselection.com.
