A film by Park Chan-wook, the dark and moody "Old Boy" recently came back into people's attention when it garnered the runner-up prize at Cannes Film Festival last month. She film and its director are reportedly favorites of Quentin Tarantino, who also chaired the jury at Cannes, and Harry Knowles of the influential film gossip site Ain't It Cool News (www.aint-it-cool.com) said the film "will stay in your mind like an inoperable tumor". The second in a trilogy of movies Park is making on the theme of revenge, "Old Boy" tells the story of an ordinary man (Choi Min-sik) who is suddenly kidnapped and placed in a cell made to look like a hotel room. After 15 years, he is let out without an e xplanation and goes on a search for the person responsible for his incarceration. On DVD. Located near Anguk Station on subway line 3. Tickets: 3, 000 won.
