Hosted by the Korean Cultural Center of U.K., a music festival featuring Korean music aims to introduce Londoners to a wide selection of Korea's most talented artists, from traditional bands to contemporary K-pop, at some of British capital's leading music venues.
The festival will kick off with a concert by the National Orchestra of Korea at the Barbican.
Traditional Korean music will also be introduced in the next two performances, with a group playing the geomungo, a six-stringed zither, at Cadogan Hall on June 19 and pansori veteran Ahn Sook-sun performing on June 21. Pansori is a traditional Korean narrative song or one-man opera.
