LPG, Kangta to Appear on Chinese Music Show

The trot music group LPG will appear on Chinese CCTV's music show "Tongyishouge".

LPG, which left for China August 18, will appear on the show August 19 in front of an audience of some 40,000 and Chinese TV viewers amounting to 1.3 billion people. Other artists to perform on that day include Kangta and top Chinese singers.

Launched in January 2000, "Tongyishouge" is staged in various regions of China with local residents invited to watch the show firsthand. Each edition of the show is broadcast and re-run five times on CCTV1 and CCTV3.

LPG's agency said the group was honored to receive an invitation to a famous Chinese show, becoming the first trot singers to perform on "Tongyishouge".

LPG will sing "Cancan" and "Bad Guy". Other Korean artists who have previously appeared on "Tongyishouge" include Boa, TVXQ, Chang Nara and Shin Seung-hoon.
