"Mental Coach Jegal" is a work in which the former national team member, who returns as a mental coach, heals the players and fights against injustice. In the drama, Jung Woo played the role of Je Gal-gil, a mental coach of a former Taekwondo national team who was permanently expelled.

Je Gal-gil, played by Jung Woo, appeared every time players fell into a slump. He said, "It is important to understand and sympathize with the emotions of people with pain or trauma, but I thought it would be the job of a mental coach to approach objectively and healthily so that someone can get out of negative emotions. We talked a lot with the production team, thinking about what it would be like to lead the person in a positive direction while empathizing with the emotion of the person in a slump and sometimes looking at it objectively", he said.

It was also impressive that Jung Woo staged a band with the members of the No Medal Club in the play. He sang again following the OST of "Reply 1994" and the movie "C'est Si Bon". "I also sang in "C'est Si Bon" and the drama "Reply 1994", and that experience helped me perform in Geoje Island this time", Jung Woo recalled. "I paid attention to the song selection that could give voice tone and positive energy, and thanks to that, I enjoyed filming with a very powerful and wonderful song called Butterfly".

In addition, he said, ""I only live today!" is a memorable line in the play, and explained, "The meaning I interpreted seems to imply that we should enjoy ourselves day by day at this moment rather than worry".

Jung Woo is preparing to meet the public again as his next film is "Miraculous Brothers". It is a real fantasy mystery work centered on a passionate writer who dreams of becoming a bestseller, a mysterious boy with a superpower to read people's minds, and a veiled murder. Jung Woo said, "I am looking forward to it once again because it is a combination of dense and pure scripts, experienced directors, and solid actors".
