Miss Korea 2002 Trades Tiara for Academic Gown

Miss Korea 2002 Keum Na-na has become a professor at Dongguk University.

The university on Sunday said it hired Keum as an assistant professor and she will teach there from this fall semester.

Keum won the Miss Korea pageant when she was a medical student at Kyungpook National University.

She went to the U.S. two years later and received a master's degree at Columbia University.

In 2015, she graduated from Harvard's School of Public Health with a doctorate in nutritional epidemiology.
