"Missing 9" Chanyeol, from despair to hopeful

2016/12/11 | Permalink | Source

Chanyeol brings light to the deserted island in the new MBC drama "Missing 9".

The plane crash that shocks the nation results in 9 missing people including a solo singer Lee Yeol (Chanyeol). He used to be in a group with Seo Joon-oh (Jung Kyung-ho) and Choi Tae-ho (Choi Tae-joon). He is handsome and is an outstanding singer, performer and song writer.

The nine people who are stranded on a deserted island experience unstable conditions as they don't even know if they will be rescued or not. Lee Yeol, however, doesn't panic. His friendly personality brings hope to those around him and he even opens up to Seo Joon-oh first although they haven't been on agreeable terms.

Lee Yeol is the youngest one but he puts on a smile rather than tears even in times of crisis.

Chanyeol is completely getting used to being Lee Yeol who has a cute image and mature mentality. He is experienced in movies and web-dramas so he easily can express the complicated feelings of his character here.

"Missing 9" is based on the stories of survivors of an unexpected plane crash. The survivors suffer between rationality and instinct while different classes of society experience conflict and vested interests try to benefit from this crisis.

"Missing 9" will be released in 2017 after "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo".
