Actress Son Tae-young expressed her apologies regarding the issue from the 2018 Melon Music Awards.

Son Tae-young was a presenter at the Melon Music Awards that was held in Gochuk Sky Dome on the 1st of December. Apparently, her son had been sitting on a seat that was reserved for singers.

However, this was just a happening that occurred at the wrong time and Son Tae-young expressed her apology for causing an issue.

Son Tae-young's sources explained, "Her son wanted to see her be a presenter so one of the staff on the site escorted him there. He had no idea the seat was for singers. He left the seat right after his mother finished her presenting".

It was late and Son Tae-young had no one else to babysit her son so she brought him along. This also happened while she was on stage, presenting.

Her agency explained, "She was waiting in a common waiting room, but had to take her son when it was her turn. She wanted him to sit where they could see each other clearly and that was the seat. It was indeed a seat for the singers, but it was all empty except for a few at the time".
