Moon So-ri to Sit on Pusan Film Fest Jury

The versatile actress Moon So-ri will sit alongside international movie heavyweights on the jury of the 11th Pusan International Film Festival.

Following her screen debut in "Peppermint Candy", Moon took the award for Best New Performer at the Venice Film Festival in 2002 for her portrayal of a cerebral palsy victim in "Oasis" . She also transformed herself for her roles in "A Good Lawyer's Wife", "The President's Barber" and "Bewitching Attraction".

The jury president is veteran Hungarian director István Szabó, who shot his first feature film "The Age of Daydream" at 26 and came to international attention with "Mephisto" (1982), which took the Oscar for best foreign language film. He followed with "Sweet Emma, Dear Bobe" in 1992, which scored the Berlin Film Festival's Silver Bear. Hong Kong producer Daniel Yu, French director Bruno Dumont and Iranian director Abolfazl Jalili will round out the panel. The festival will run from Oct. 12 to 20 in the southern port city also spelled Busan.
