Some 80.2 percent of jobseekers said they feel stressed, compared to 74.6 percent of people who are already employed. Among employed people, married women were the most stressed with 81.1 percent, followed by single women (76.1 percent), married men (74.1 percent) and single men (70.5 percent).

The stress often comes from family gatherings, where uncomfortable questions are being asked. Asked what jobseekers hate to hear most during Chuseok, 73.6 percent said "when will you get a job?" followed by "lose some weight", (30.9 percent), "some other relative got a job" (18.8 percent) and "are you dating someone?" (18.2 percent).

Salaried workers responded differently according to whether they are married or not. Some 67.5 percent of single men and 62.3 percent of single women said what they hate to hear the most is "when are you going to get married?" while 48.8 percent and 28.1 percent of married men and women said "are you going to lose your job because of the recession?"

Major symptoms experienced by people who have suffered from stress during the holiday seasons were demotivation (69 percent), indigestion (31.2 percent), headaches (22.8 percent), insomnia (18.1 percent) and loss of appetite (12.9 percent).

Respondents were able to give multiple answers.
