Seven celebrities on the roster of Namoo Actors, a management agency, including Kim Kang-woo
, Kim So-yeon
, Moon Geun-young, Lee Kyu-han
, Lee Yoon-ji
, Jeon Hye-bin
and Jo Dong-hyuk
, gathered together for a photo shoot for the Love Tree Project and shared their thoughts about charity.
The Love Tree Project is a charity album planned to help children without access to proper medical care due to financial constraints. These seven actors and actresses of Namoo Actors have sung on the album, the sales revenues of which will be used to help children receive appropriate and timely medical treatment.
"Whenever celebrities get involved in charity work, the media tends to pay greater attention and, as a result, more people get to know about those who are less fortunate than themselves.
This kind of positive influence that we as entertainers can have upon others made me rethink our role as public figures", said Kim So-yeon
, commenting about the role and social responsibility of celebrities.
"Charity work is not just for some special people or celebrities. You can donate your talent instead of money. I keep thinking about what talents I may have to share with others", said Kim Kang-woo
, as he expressed his thoughts about how and what to share with others.
"Getting physically involved is better than simply donating money. It feels like genuine charity work when I use my body to help rather than just giving away money", said Jo Dong-hyuk
The photos of and interviews with these celebrities who are giving back to the community will be published on January 19 in the February edition of Vogue.
