Movie 'Oldboy' has been selected as the best film in 2004 by televiewers.

Movie Channel 'Catchon' said that in a poll enforced through its home page from Nov. 22 through Dec. 5 on 4,251 people, director Park Chan-wook's 'Oldboy' held the first rank by gaining 1,681 votes (39.5%).

'Recomposition of a crime' and 'Harrypotter and secret room' have held the second and the third rank with 1,565 votes (36.8%) and with 1,448 votes (34%) respectively.

Catchon is scheduled to televise prize winning-works on 11 p.m. from Dec. 27 through Dec. 31.

Plot Summary for Oldboy (2003) is as follows: An average man is kidnapped and imprisoned in a hotel room for 15 years without explanation.

He then is released, equipped with money, a cellphone and expensive clothes. As he strives to explain his imprisonment and get his revenge, he soon finds out that not only his kidnapper has still plans for him, but that those plans will serve as the even worse finale to 15 years of imprisonment.
