Directed by _Kwak_Gyeong-taek, the film is a story about a face-off between two young men from the South and North.
Starring the nation's top actors Jang Dong-gun and Lee Jung-jae, and on a budget of about a 15 billion won, the film revolves around Sin (played by Jang), a North Korean man, whose family was rejected by the South when they tried to defect there. After the incident he becomes a pirate and prepares for revenge against the South. But Se-jong (played by Lee) is ordered to stop Sin's deadly revenge, which will put the entire Korean Peninsula in danger. However, the two characters' relationship which starts off hostile, develops into friendship.
