MBC's drama "My Dearest" (planned by Hong Seok-woo/directed by Kim Sung-yong/played by Hwang Jin-yeong) tells the story of lovers thrown into the path of the Manchu War of 1636, a time they missed and loved, and director Hwang Jin-yeong, who wrote historical dramas such as "The Daughter of the Emperor" and "Rebel: Thief Who Stole the People" will join forces to create a luxury historical drama.

"My Dearest" previously revealed the casting of Namkoong Min (Lee Jang-hyeon) and Ahn Eun-jin (Yoo Gil-chae). Lee Jang-hyeon did not give sincerity to anything, but after getting to know a woman, he opens the door to his unexpected fate, and Yoo Gil-chae is a woman who grew up beautifully, but who sincerely adores a man and matures after the weather of war.

Lee Hak-joo and Lee Da-in joined as other leading actors, including Namkoong Min and Ahn Eun-jin.

Lee Hak-joo plays Nam Yeon-joon, a promising student who studies at Sungkyunkwan University. He is a person who values going the way of a gentleman more than his life, and he is sincere in his loyalty to the king and love for the people. Nam Yeon-joon, who has long wanted to show his loyalty to the world, jumps into the fire without hesitation when the war breaks out.
In the drama, Lee Da-in plays Kyeong Eun-ae, Nam Yeon-joon's wife and Yoo Gil-chae's closest friend. Kyeong Eun-ae, a wise and benevolent woman who knows how to see the bright side of the world first, protects her love for Nam Yeon-joon and her faith in life despite numerous storms. She is another strong person with a different charm from Yoo Gil-chae, who is cute but haughty.

Attention is focusing on whether "My Dearest", with four trusted actors Namkoong Min, Ahn Eun-jin, Lee Hak-joo and Lee Da-in, will continue the legacy of MBC, a historical drama master. It will air in the second half of 2023.
