Ko Hye-ran went overboard after meeting pro-golfer Kevin Lee and her ex-boyfriend Lee Jae-young (Go Joon) on the second episode of the JTBC weekend drama "Misty". To keep her position as a news anchor, she had to make the interview with Kevin Lee possible. However, she was surprised to know that Kevin Lee was her ex-boyfriend Lee Jae-young. When she broke up with him, he had asked her, "Are you breaking up with me because I'm good for nothing?" and she had said "Yes".
She was shocked again to see that Seo Eun-joo (Jeon Hye-jin-II), her high school friend was next to Kevin Lee. They were married. Ko Hye-ran had missed her mother's last moments by going to the airport for the interview that she didn't get, and at the funeral, she watched bitterly as Han Ji-won (Jin Ki-joo) took her place.
The news ratings were high and Ko Hye-ran was nervous that she would lose her job. She nervously ate so much food that her husband Kang Tae-wook's (Ji Jin-hee) eyes widened.
Ko Hye-ran asked Eun-joo for a favor and managed to get her interview with Lee Jae-young. She was sensitive to his every word. When she asked him about his winnings, he asked her, "Did you see it? That's me. Do you still think I'm good for nothing? I also want to say the same to everyone who used to underestimate me". Ko Hye-ran said, "You must have had a tough time" and he said, "I've been cast out and told I was worthless". Although she had her interview, she lost her job in News 9.
Jang Gyu-suk (Lee Kyung-young), the head of the news department, suggested a documentary between Ko Hye-ran, Eun-joo, and Lee Jae-young. Lee Jae-young said he'd do it if Hye-ran did and Jang Gyu-suk told her to be in the documentary and not News 9. It made her want the position of anchor more now that Lee Jae-young was the hottest guy on TV and Eun-joo was the envy of every woman in the country. In the end, she set a trap using Han Ji-won who seemed interested in Lee Jae-young, and got pictures of them making love in the car. Han Ji-won couldn't be anchor anymore.
