New Movies for Weekend of March 2

Looks like the weekend is here, and that means time to check on what's playing at the movies.
There's a Korean comedy - another for fans of Hugh Grant or Drew Barrymore and more.
Here's Son Heekyung.

"Shim's Family" is director Chung Yoon-chul's second feature following his successful debut film "Marathon".
His new movie is about an abnormal family that faces a sudden crisis when all of its members develop crushes on the wrong people.
The film stars popular actors Kim Hye-soo and Park Hae-il.
The director says he wanted to shed light on the troubled family system in Korea.

Next up is "Music and Lyrics", a Hollywood romantic comedy starring Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore.
Grant plays a washed-up '80s singer who is given a chance at a comeback.
A pop diva invites him to sing a duet with her, but only under the condition that he composes the song.
He's never written lyrics for a song, so he seeks help from his quirky but poetic plant lady.

"The Pursuit of Happyness" is an Academy Award-nominated film from the US.
The true life story stars Will Smith as a salesman who's evicted from his San Francisco apartment along with his young son.
He gets an internship at a major stock brokerage firm, but endures many hardships in the pursuit of making a better life for him and his boy.
The movie has enjoyed critical and commercial success.

From Japan comes the comedy drama "Hula Girls".
Set in 1965, the movie is about coal miners' daughters trying to stop their town's decline by building a Hawaiian-style tourist spot.
A hula instructor from Tokyo teaches the dance to the young girls who end up heroes to their depressed town and all of Japan.
This family film contains beautiful and sophisticated Japanese music and dance.
