Yang Hyun-suk, head of YG, revealed through Korean media sources that there will be a number of new acts to look forward to, including solo acts, slated for 2011. For one, a YG version of Girls' Generation will hit the scene the first half of 2012. Yang stressed that this group will not only be talented, but very pretty...like Girls' Generation.

YG is one of the three biggest entertainment agencies in Korea, enough reason for everyone to perk up at the new update. In fact, this is a surprising direction YG decided to take, being that they were always one of the agencies that picked those with talent over looks.

When this was brought up, Yang said that there are a lot of trainees that have both looks and talents. He assured the public that the YG version of Girls' Generation will still have YG's style. He also revealed that although groups like Big Bang trained for five years, due to improvements in YG's system, two years is more appropriate for current trainees.

Yang added that YG plans on producing the next Big Bang and next 2NE1.

On another note, the entertainment head mentioned how it's important for YG to produce acts that have a unique sound or image. Yang said, "If you take a look at all the major YG acts -- Big Mama, Se7en, Gummy, Big Bang, 2NE1 -- they all have that unique sound".
