NHK Asian Film Festival to present the film "Don't Look Back" starring actor Kim Tae-woo

Japan's broadcaster NHK awarded "The Asian Filmmaker of the year" at "The 10th Pusan International Film Festival" holds "The 6th NHK Asian Film Festival" biennially in Tokyo Shibuya NHK Hall from 17th to 25th Dec.

NHK Asian Film Festival started to commemorate the 100th anniversary of film birth with international co-producing works in 1995. NHK has supported talented filmmakers and productions in the world and 22 pieces from 18 countries were completed and presented to the public.

This time total 25 films including the previous project supported works and this year's new three pieces will be focused on. The movie "Don't Look Back" (Production Emotion Pictures) directed by Kim Yeong-nam from the production team of Hong Sang-soo's "Woman Is The Future Of Man" is included as well.

"Don't Look Back" starring Kim Tae-woo and Kim Hye-na is a co-producing support movie of 2005 by Korean Film Council and Korea-Japan's joint production to be selected as a support project of NHK Asian Film Festival. NHK supported the production cost 400 million won.

At the 3rd NHK Asian Film Festival "Peppermint Candy" starring Sol Kyung-gu and Moon So-ri directed by Lee Chang-dong attracted a great interest of the public. It is also expected to make new Hallyu stars like Kim Tae-woo, Kim Hye-na and Lee Han(a) in Japan.
