The Korea Communications Commission in Seoul was recently notified by the ITU of North Korea's request, which was made in February.
The KCC has already held a meeting on North Korea's possible broadcasting digitalization with experts of the North's broadcasting systems in attendance. However, the commission made it clear that it has no plan to assist North Korea in introducing digital broadcasting.
