No Goodbye Episode For Kang Ho-dong On "1 Night 2 Days"

Fans of "1 Night 2 Days" will no longer be able to see the ringleader to the humor madness, Kang Ho-dong.

According to a KBS rep, although the original plans had a farewell trip for the cast of the show, due to Kang's sudden temporary retirement announcement and the media frenzy that followed, no such episode was filmed. Thus Kang's appearance on the popular show will abruptly come to an end.

The rep continued to say that although the team wished for an episode with a more official goodbye on Kang's part, the staff decided to free the recently retired emcee of that burden and workload with consideration to the past four years of hard work.

The following episodes will feature the five remaining members to host the show together: Lee Soo-geun, Eun Ji-won, Uhm Tae-woong, Kim Jong-min, and Lee Seung-gi.

Similarly, all of the big prime time shows that Kang hosted up until his retirement announcement on September 9th will feature no special goodbye episode for Kang. Those shows are "Kneedrop Guru", "Strong Heart", and "Star King".
