Number of Foreign Tourists Drops 3.2% in November

The number of foreign tourists visiting South Korea dropped three-point-two percent in November from a year earlier.

According to the Korea Culture and Tourism Institute, about 842-thousand foreign tourists visited South Korea last month, down three-point-two percent from 869-thousand recorded in November of last year. It marked the first monthly decline of foreign visitors this year.

The number of Japanese tourists plunged to 249-thousand last month, down 24-point-eight percent year-on-year.

Meanwhile, the number of South Koreans going abroad reached one-point-eleven million last month, up 14-point-seven percent from a year ago.
