Optimal relaxation at W Seoul's AWAY Spa

2012/06/30 | 241 views | Permalink | Source

W Seoul-Walkerhill welcomes spa-savvy urban dwellers as well as travelers to an exclusive world of a sensory spa experience at AWAY Spa.

The spa, spanning two stories, is comprised of 17 treatment rooms, a sauna WATER Zone, the indoor pool WET, fitness center SWEAT, spa food restaurant TONIC, hair salon Style Lab and spa retail shop TAKE AWAY.

The water complex offers perfect relaxation to people who seek a getaway from the city's hustle-bustle, as well as helping them find a balance between body and mind.

AWAY Spa's modern Turkis haman and watsu are very unique to Seoul. Outdoor treatments and Hinoki soak tubs overlooking the Han River bring additional freshness. With more than 50 body, facial and wrap treatments, AWAY Spa offers a new lifestyle and wellness that will revitalize the body and soul beyond all expectations.

Besides the massage by professionally-trained staff, state-of-the-art technology and natural elements meld in perfect harmony in this ultra-modern chill-out zone. A highlight of the spa is private label products for the body especially designed with natural essential oils and botanical ingredients, including a W formulated scent from Britain's Eve Taylor. For facial treatment, an Australian product line SODASHI was newly launched.

AWAY Spa also features an impressive array of high-tech innovations, such as hydro color and scent therapy baths, vichy shower, a Jacuzzi under the stars. It offers other water experience areas such as water lounges, comfort jets, water curtains, tropical showers and Korean-style scrub stations. A hot air room allows guests to completely dry after the spa and treatments.

Along with its usual signature treatments, AWAY Spa introduces a new anti-aging program called Green Apple Facial for 2012 summer in June and July.

The antioxidant treatment uses products from SkinCeutical, a cosmetic brand which pioneered the skincare industry through advanced skin science technology. The products contain phloretin, an antioxidant ingredient found in green apples. The 70-minute Green Apple Facial is available for 190,000 won.

The indoor pool WET is also a good option for the family, with a kids' pool and a sundeck, while SWEAT is equipped with all the latest gym facilities and a group exercise room. For more information about AWAY Spa, call 02-2022-0450.

Trendiest Japanese cuisine at Namu

W Seoul-Walkerhill's Namu reflects the modern reinvention of authentic Japanese dishes. It offers a sensory dining experience with a unique style of modern Japanese cooking that is unencumbered by the dogmas of tradition while retaining the cultural essence of the origin.

With 163 seats, the restaurant has specific sections ― ICE, LIQUID and ACTION.

ICE, which is placed at the premium spot of Namu, provides the latest trend of sushi bar dining. LIQUID is a lounge bar where premium sake, champagne, wine and cocktails are served in a luxurious ambience. ACTION is a cozy environment where guests can see the action of the Teppan chefs.

The dining hall is an elegant place overlooking Seoul and the Han River. There are also private dining rooms ― two Japanese and two Western style ― suitable for intimate parties or business dinners.

Namu also has its house sake named W Trend Sake Zen. Having a mild aroma and deep flavor in stylish 400-milliliter bottle design, the sake is a premium junmai produced only in the Iwate Prefecture.

For more information about Namu, call 02-2022-0222.
