Original animation receives support for translation and dubbing

Korea Culture and Content Agency (KOCCA, CEO: Suh, Byung-Moon) calls for works to be considered in its "2007 Project on Support for Korean Animation's Advance to the Foreign Market".
In line with the project, KOCCA will select excellent Korean original animations to market overseas and to provide with funding for translation and dubbing services. The project calls for works in four categories: TV series (works certified as Korean animation by Korean Broadcasting Commission; submitted works can receive the certification on or before the deadline); animation for theater (the production of the animation must have been completed in Korea); pilot film (animation for theater or pilot animation for a TV series, whose production was completed in Korea); and short animation (its production must have been completed in Korea, and it must target participation in foreign animation festivals).
KOCCA will provide up to KRW 20M per project for animations for TV series or the theater, and up to KRW 5M per project for pilot or short animations.
Those who wish to participate in the project are requested to go to KOCCA's Web site (http//www.kocca.kr), click on "Project Management" at the upper part of the Web site to register online, and submit the necessary documents to the KOCCA office in person. Applications will be received from October 8 to 11, up to 3 p.m. Works that have already received government support for foreign distribution will no longer be considered.
