[Orion's Daily Ramblings] A Chaotic Man Challenges a Chaotic Beast in Main Posters for "Save Me 2"

It takes outside the box thinking to tackle outside the box problems, and it takes a "madman" to tackle a mad situation. The protagonist of "Save Me 2", Kim  Min-cheol (Um Tae-goo), is about to go against a terrible foe, and his young, troubled life is all that he has to protect him.

The posters released for "Save Me 2" are as atmospheric and cool as its teasers, and their tagline is loud and clear: 'In the world of a crazy cult, a crazier bastard has appeared'. Um Tae-goo's ("The Great Battle", "Coin Locker Girl", "Maids") unlikely hero is fighting a cult that looks refreshingly more subdued, more sinister than "Save Me"'s extravagant frauds.

I'm also enjoying his similarities, and the potential of his differences, with the original work's heroine, Im Sang-mi (Seo Yea-ji). While she was not believed for being an outsider and a young woman, Min-cheol will probably be facing the stigma of his past criminal acts, and the person this life has shaped. I hope that the series tackles these social prejudices once more.

The production has commented that the actors are becoming more in tune with their respective roles every time they shoot, and that their characters are thus being created to perfection. They have added that this is also visible in the posters, where the essence of the characters is accurately conveyed by their actors through their gaze and facial expressions. My personal expression is a wide smile, so I'd say we're on the right track.
