[Orion's Daily Ramblings] "Children of a Lesser God" Releases Juicy Character Information

"Children of a Lesser God" is starting to take shape and we have some goodies since the last time I talked about it. I mentioned Kang Ji-hwan's genius detective before, but it looks like his love for bragging and patronizingly explaining things to others earns him everyone's scorn. There is not a lot of new information on Kim Ok-vin's Kim Dan, but her ability to "see things" is a nice enough hook.

On the second lead side, we have names and descriptions released during the past couple of weeks. Shim Hee-sub plays Joo Ha-min, a man who seems like a fine, skilled prosecutor, but who is actually hiding an "antisocial monster". I'm not sure if they mean that he is a sociopath or simply hates people, but we'll see. Ha-min is well aware of the fact that he is expendable and he bows down to the powerful as long as it benefits him.

Lee Elijah's Baek Ah-hyeon is equally interesting. She is the princess of a small kingdom and I'll get to that in a second. She seems like a refined, wise chaebol heiress, but she is only hiding her corruption. She is also someone who mysteriously disappears, so my guess is that the leads will be going on a princess chase. Which bring me to said princess... What? Are we going for an alternate reality piece here? Is she an actual princess or are we talking princess-like leader of her conglomerate empire? I'm intrigued.

In the supporting cast, we have one more unique-sounding character. It seems like "Save Me" is rubbing off on the channel, because enter Jang Gwang as a cult leader. A character who is loved by his flock and has his hands down powerful pockets is not new, but the reason he has said love is because he has convinced people that he can exorcice ghosts. My question is, can he? We know our heroine can see "beyond", so perhaps we're in for the twist of an antagonist with an actual gift.

We also have more standard characters, at least on paper. Lee Hyo-jung plays Baek Do-gyoo, the conglomerate chairman and I'm guessing father of the missing Ah-hyeon. He's as terrible as you'd expect and he is also involved in revitalizing a conspiracy spanning 20 years in order to protect his kingdom. Jo Min-ki is the opposition's presidential candidate, Gook Han-joo. After managing to climb to the top, the one thing which can tear him down is one sordid secret. Of course he has one. They all have one.

"Children of a Lesser God" has released three short teasers as well and they only add onto the mystery, albeit through poor graphics. I take a look at them in my other piece today, so join me and let me know what you think.
