"The Ghost Detective" has seen better days and cleaner clothing, as Choi Daniel takes a proper dip in the mud for the upcoming supernatural mystery drama. The actor has been filming for what is reportedly a very important scene, and we get to enjoy the fruit of his hard labor.
The stills seem to be from the same setting as the teaser posters, so I'm curious as to what takes place in this scene. Perhaps it's a backstory one about how our detective came to be a ghost-hunting one. Does he actually "see dead people"? If Lee Joo-young's character can communicate with ghosts, as previously reported, does it mean that he can't? That would be an interesting obstacle for his work, and necessitate the help, and therefore presence of other supernaturally gifted characters.
With "The Ghost Detective" having taken its sweet time to get some promotion going, I expect and hope to get a teaser very soon, because I really want to get a feel for its narrative tone and audiovisual style in action. Until then, I'll enjoy wondering what happened to our hero, and whether we'll get a shower scene. Don't look at me that way, we're all thinking it.
