[Orion's Daily Ramblings] Choi Jin-hyuk and Son Hyun-joo Become Terrible Men for "Justice"

2019/03/26 | 624 views | Permalink

You can count on Dramaland for some good ol' revenge, and the two protagonists of KBS 2TV's upcoming social thriller, "Justice", are definitely out for blood, but also power and money. The drama has confirmed its leads as Choi Jin-hyuk and Son Hyun-joo, creating a duo to be reckoned with.

"Justice" reveals the hidden desires of two men, and the dark underbelly of Korea's VVIPs. It follows Lee  Tae-kyeong (Choi Jin-hyuk), a corrupt lawyer who has joined hands with the devil for revenge, and Song Woo-yong (Son Hyun-joo), a man who chose to become evil for the sake of his family, as well as their involvement in a case surrounding the serial disappearances of actresses.

Choi Jin-hyuk's Lee  Tae-kyeong boasts the highest win rate in the industry, and has sharp logic and eloquence. He has accumulated wealth and power by getting not guilty, or at the very least probation rulings for the wealthiest of trash under Chairman Song Woo-yong's orders. His desire for revenge over his brother's death eventually disappears, and while chasing a bigger goal, Tae-kyeong becomes involved in the dangerous case of the missing actresses.

Song Woo-yong, a.k.a the devil, is the CEO of a medium sized construction company. He uses Tae-kyeong from the shadows in order to handle all manner of cases for the terrible rich, which has enabled him to raise his company into a powerhouse. He has the desire to climb higher by any means necessary, his heart burning with hatred at the thought of his family suffering if he is trampled on again.

The two men will be faced with the choice between good and evil in themselves as they rush towards their desires. Can you smell the angst? I can smell it. It's very pungent. "Justice" is based on a popular 2017 web novel of the same name by author Jang Ho. It will be penned by Jeong Chan-mi ("School 2017", "Cheeky Go Go"), helmed by Jo Woong ("Drama Special - Buzzcut Love", "Miracle That We Met") and premiere in July.
