[Orion's Daily Ramblings] Choi Jin-hyuk, Song Ha-yoon and Lee Ho-won Cast in "Devilish Happiness"

Dramas love their amnesia, and the more they try to spice it up, the more complex it gets. The latest installment to this love is "Devilish Happiness", which has cast Choi Jin-hyuk, Song Ha-yoon and Lee Ho-won. The series is about a man who can only retain one day in his mind.

"Devilish Happiness" is a romantic comedy about a genius doctor, named Gong Ma-seong (Choi Jin-hyuk), who is suffering from "Cinderella Memory Syndrome" following his rescue of a woman from a car accident. The made up syndrome is a form of existing anterograde amnesia, and it causes Ma-seong's memory of the previous day to disappear when he wakes up every morning. The drama depicts his romance with Joo Gi-bbeum, an actress past her heyday. The title of the drama is a play on the character names, and who wants to bet Gi-bbeum is the rescued woman? I see what you're doing there, sneaky drama.

Choi Jin-hyuk has stated that this is the work he has looked forward to the most during his career. He added that it's also the first work where the scripts to 10 episodes are complete before it starts shooting. The actor says that he is in close collaboration with the production for this drama and for his own role, both of which he has chosen with confidence.

"Devilish Happiness", which will simultaneously air on Dramax and IHQ, is written by Choi Ji-yeon-I ("Thumping Spike", "Thumping Spike 2") and directed by Kim Ga-ram ("Vampire Detective"). It will be fully pre-produced, and it will start filming this month for a release in the second half of the year.
