[Orion's Daily Ramblings] "Familiar Wife" Turns the Tables and Worlds in Character and Group Posters

The characters of "Familiar Wife" go through some major changes due to its hero's fate-altering decision, and the drama's newly released posters tease those changes, while giving us a peek into the thoughts of our leads. Things have definitely been better between the leading couple, but will a fancier timeline be what they really want?

Going by what I've read about the characters, and by what I've seen in the teasers so far, I can see why things being different would be an appealing prospect for hero Cha Joo-hyeok (Ji Sung). It's just that people usually go to couple's therapy and maybe reassess their lives when this happens, rather than change time and space as we know it.

In his character poster, Joo-hyeok looks troubled and contemplating his decision, asking "We're better off now, right?" His wife, Seo  Woo-jin (Han Ji-min), looks decidedly more annoyed by the whole thing. She asks "You don't like me?" I can't think of a bigger slap to the face than your husband rearranging the cosmos to get away from you, so I can see why she'd be feeling unwanted.

The group poster also shows the four leading characters in Joo-hyeok's original and new world. Everyone is looking happier, or at least richer in the changed universe, but appearances are often deceiving, and life doesn't really change for someone until they themselves do. I'm curious to see if this is what Joo-hyeok will also discover through "Familiar Wife", which premieres on August 1st, at 21:30 KST on tvN.
