[Orion's Daily Ramblings] Jung Kyung-ho has a Rude Awakening in New "Life on Mars" Teaser and Stills

Our hero's adventure starts with a bang in "Life on Mars", that surely being the gunshot to the noggin shown in the video. The series has been teasing his time-traveling predicament more strongly with these latest promotional goodies. Is it time travel, a dream or something else entirely? I hope we get to know.

Han Tae-joo (Jung Kyung-ho) is after a serial killer in 2018, when he is attacked by them and rendered unconscious. When our hero wakes up, he finds himself in his childhood city of Inseong, in 1988. The teaser reveals the mission he must complete, delivering the lines "A guy who lives between a dream and reality. If I catch the killer I will know. The reason why I came here".

Without revealing the spoilers I have read about the original British series and its North American remake, I can say that they go with very different explanations about what exactly is going on with their hero. The Korean adaptation would be wise to choose its own outcome as well, just to spice things up and keep the mystery alive.

So what do you think has happened to dear Tae-joo? Since he's been injured, I'm thinking a coma is very likely, but it would be cool if his consciousness did time travel to someone's body in order to nip the cause of his accident in the bud. Or maybe, just maybe, we'll get something more outlandish. "Life on Mars" begins on June 9th, on OCN.
