[Orion's Daily Ramblings] Kim Hyun-sook In, Oh Min-suk and Lee Da-hee Considering "Queen of Mystery 2"

This is the problem with attachment, folks. It splits your thinking in two. On one hand, I'm glad that we may get fresh faces for a fresh story in "Queen of Mystery 2". On the other, I want to see Lee Won-keun, Park Joon-geum, Ahn Kil-kang and everyone else return as the characters I love so much.

I know not everyone will return, but news just came out that Kim Hyun-sook will reprise her role as Kim  Kyeong-mi and I may have screamed a little. The character is such a delightful and crucial presence in the life of the heroine and Kim Hyun-sook is such a lovely actress for her.

Aside from Kim's return, the series has confirmed its leads and Park Byung-eun, but we also have two potential new additions I will cheer for through my grumbling. Oh Min-suk is courted for the role of hero Ha Wan-seung's (Kwon Sang-woo) detective rival, because Wan-seung needs someone to be angry at when he's not breaking keyboards and Yang Ik-june won't be around for staring contests this time. One outlet has the actor confirmed while others are saying he is considering, so we'll see how it goes when it gets more wide coverage.

Lee Da-hee has also been offered the role of Hee-yeon a pastry chef who is a contact of Yoo Seol-ok (Choi Kang-hee) and who will also be helping with the mystery. I can't say I particularly enjoy Lee Da-hee's work, but maybe I'll see her in a new light this time around. Plus, I can imagine the double-chef threat supporting Seol-ok. Can we get a third party to the sismance?

For now we wait until the newly teased actors turn down or confirm their roles and until February 21st, which is the reported premiere date for the series.
