[Orion's Daily Ramblings] Lee Seol, Park Sung-woong, Lee El Courted for Drama "When the Devil Calls Your Name"

Pray to the Dramagods, or in this case the Dramadevil, for this casting, because Jung Kyung-ho, Lee Seol, Park Sung-woong and Lee El in one work sounds glorious. The four are now officially courted for tvN's "When the Devil Calls Your Name", an 'occult human melodrama' about a man who needs to capture three souls in order to save his own from the Devil.

Lee Seol is courted for an unknown singer named Lee Yi-kyeong, a woman with a kind and righteous personality, who has lived a hard life after becoming convicted as a juvenile offender at age 18 due to bad family conditions. Just as her dreams of becoming a singer are dashed by the harshness of reality, she meets the hero and falls into a dangerous romance with him. Ouch, she's one of the three souls, isn't she?

I'm already dying for a "Life on Mars" reunion, and Park Sung-woong's role sounds like a hoot. He is being courted for top star and demon Mo Tae-kang, who will be in a confrontational relationship with Jung Kyung-ho's Ha Rip. That's right, Ha Rip. I love this name. Lee El has been offered Ji Seo-yeong, the CEO of Soul Entertainment, and the career woman who made Ha Rip into a star songwriter. Does that make her the Devil then, because I'm all for that.

The premise and cast sound great, and with PD Min Jin-gi ("Circle", "Golden Tower"), and writer Noh Hye-yeong ("Please Come Back, Mister", "How to Use Guys with Secret Tips") on the job, I'm just itching to see this. It should be with us in the first half of 2019.
