[Orion's Daily Ramblings] "Life" Releases Striking Character Posters for Yoo Jae-myung and Moon So-ri

"Life" definitely knows how to make an impression, because stern Moon So-ri and blood-soaked Yoo Jae-myung are definitely bringing the drama and oomph I didn't feel from the posters for Lee Dong-wook and Cho Seung-woo. The latest images come with character information and some words from the actors.

Yoo Jae-myung will be playing Joo Kyeong-moon, the Head of the Department of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery and an outcast in the hospital. He has a strong sense of duty, and he is saddened by the cold reality of his department running on a deficit. His poster reads "How long can I hold out like this?" It looks like the man is struggling to do what's right in a system that is very wrong.

On his role and performance, Yoo Jae-myung has commented "Joo Kyeong-moon is a man with a strong sense of duty who only thinks about the patient. I tried to make the character warm, ethical, and give him a tender charisma".

Moon So-ri plays Oh Se-hwa, a legendary doctor who became the first woman chief of the Neurosurgery Department at Sang Gook University Hospital. She is also very passionate about, and holds her specialty in the brain's nervous system, a particularly challenging part of neurosurgery. Her poster makes a bold, admirable statement, saying "The work that I do cannot be measured in money".

Moon So-ri commented "Neurosurgery is said to be the toughest field in a hospital. I prepared myself to play Oh Se-hwa, someone whose pride does not falter during hardship, and whose wisdom and self-confidence allow her to not doubt her decisions. Please look forward to "Life", which will show you stories different to those of existing medical dramas".

A solid cast is incredibly important for a complex story, and it looks like "Life" is going to be one big battlefield of principles, goals and psychological warfare. I can't wait to see its cast do what they do best starting Monday, July 23rd at 23:00 KST, following "Miss Hammurabi" on jTBC.
