[Orion's Daily Ramblings] "Liver or Die" Releases Heartbreaking Teaser Poster for Yu Jun-sang

2018/12/14 | Permalink

Thank you, KBS 2TV. I needed some soul-crushing pain in my morning. Upcoming family drama "Liver or Die" believes our heart is optional, and aims to break it with this first teaser poster for the series. Ouch, drama. Beautiful ouch.

The image is simple, and so very impactful. From his dollar-store clothing to the grease in the hands that have raised an entire family, everything is laid bare. Lee Poong-sang (Yu Jun-sang) is standing underdressed in the snow, a lifetime of hardship visible on every inch of a form trying to smile and be positive, and being betrayed by its tears.

The news attached to the poster talks about the creators and the cast, and about what they can bring to this work in terms of creating a warm, human story about realistic and approachable characters. It's all great stuff, but I'm just going to stare at this poster for a bit, and feel things. "Liver or Die" will follow "Feel Good To Die".
