"Mama Fairy and the Woodcutter" is gaining some impressive ground in the race for the Ori-heart, and its entertaining, beautiful promotional efforts are definitely the key to said heart. The drama has released character posters of our titular fairy, her woodcutter candidates, and her adorable daughter.
Our heroine has a double feature showcasing Moon Chae-won and Go Doo-shim. I hope we get ample screen-time with both lovely actors. Her poster reads "I am a fairy. I am waiting for the woodcutter while running a coffee house". Her description reads 'fairy barista Seon Ok-nam', and I'm particularly tickled by the little handmade 'Barista' badge she is wearing.
Then come our suitors, who are like night and day in character. First up we have a tsundere, if I've ever seen one. Yoon Hyun-min plays Jeong Yi-hyeon. His poster reads "A fairy? Don't you mean a crazy woman? You've got to be kidding me", while he is described as 'temperamental and arrogant, the youngest associate professor'. Even the way he's holding his cup is rude.
On the flipside we have sweet Kim Geum, played by Seo Ji-hoon. The young man is all proper, holding his drink ever so politely. His poster reads "Ms. Fairy, you look like a special person" He is described as 'good at studying, clumsy assistant', so I guess we can expect a slightly goofy man. He seems great so, given how such stories usually go, I'd say he's not "The One".
Our fairy barista is not just looking for her groom, she is looking for the father to her children. To start with, we meet the daughter reincarnated as a tiger who can take on human form, because Dramaland is not made of money. Kang Mina plays Jeom Soon. Her poster reads "Mister, it would be great if you were my dad, meow". Jeom Soon is a 'smutty web novel writer', so I expect some solid fangirling.
May "Mama Fairy and the Woodcutter" turn out as the lovely, colorful rom-com that it's shaping up to be. The drama premieres on November 5th at 21:30 KST on tvN.
