[Orion's Daily Ramblings] Meet Yoo Seung-ho's Downtrodden Hero in First Stills for "My Strange Hero"

2018/11/09 | 437 views | Permalink

The titular Bok-soo (revenge) of "My Strange Hero" makes his not so grand entrance through fresh drama stills. The protagonist of this revenge-themed fluffy romance has seen better days, because falling from one's pedestal to a low paying delivery job is painful like that.

Yoo Seung-ho's Kang Bok-soo is a man of good looks, a sturdy body, and skills. He was so dreamy, that he used to be his areas's local hero, before being expelled from school. This downfall hit the young man hard, sadly, and Bok-soo is now essentially a 'substitute man', spending his days in the shadow of others' lives in this cruel, money-loving world.

I'm curious about the degree to which his expulsion was the cause for his current state. I have no doubt that being expelled from school can thoroughly hinder someone, but if he is so fixated on it that he will form a revenge plan, I doubt he has been living a very healthy life. May his quest provide some healing. "My Strange Hero" premieres on December 10th on SBS.
