[Orion's Daily Ramblings] "Risky Romance" Brings Us Color and Glitz in Character Posters

Upcoming hormone-themed romantic comedy "Risky Romance" is introducing its characters through colorful and sparkly posters, and I've also gathered some details on the second leads to go with them. Don't be fooled by the genre, because everyone here seems to suffer in some way or other.

Brain-mangled Han Seung-joo (Ji Hyun-woo) has been described as impulsive, aggressive, and suffering from anger management issues, a message coming through loud and clear in his poster as well. The text reads 'Conceited, crazy and overly competitive'. Heroine Joo In-ah (Lee Si-young) is the mad scientist of the lot and, as her poster describes, 'A foolish woman crazily obsessed with hormones'.

Han Seung-won plays Cha Jae-hwan, described by his poster as 'A delightfully crazy, genius golden spoon', 'golden spoon' being a person raised in riches. Jae-hwan is a brilliant neurosurgeon who has the perfect combination of looks, ability and a good background. He is also Seung-joo's rival, and openly shows his animosity. According to the actor, "[Jae-hwan] wants to exude absolute perfection. When you look at his appearance, you see a perfect man who need not envy anyone, but he has inner pain that he tries to hide".

Joining him in said pain is Yoon Joo-hee as Joo Se-ra, 'The incarnation of possessiveness, a man stealer'. Oh boy, another terrible second leading woman. Dramaland doesn't have enough of those. Se-ra is an anchor propelled by desire, whose only wish is to level up in life, by any means necessary. However, Yoon Joo-hee comments "She is driven by desire, and she has intense hate for In-ah (Lee Si-young), but you will feel sympathy for her when you see her inner pain".

Well, get in line and cry me a river, Se-ra, because everyone has problems, and they don't seem to be stemming from hormonal imbalances. Let's hope that there's more than meets the eye to these characters, who will begin their four-way clashing on July 23rd at 22:00 KST on MBC.
