[Orion's Daily Ramblings] "Romance is a Bonus Book" Reveals Script Reading Stills and Characters

"Romance is a Bonus Book", which was previously known as "Romance Supplement", has released stills of its extended cast during the drama's script reading, and we get some basic information on their roles. Let's meet the staff of the drama's setting, fictional publishing house 'Gyeoroo'.

Attending the script reading were PD Lee Jeong-hyo, writer Jeong Hyeon-jeong and, among others, actors Lee Na-young, Lee Jong-suk, Jung Eugene, Wi Ha-jun, Kim Tae-woo, Kim Yoo-mi, Kim Sun-young, Jo Han-chul, Kang Ki-doong and Park Gyu-young. This is a nicely diverse cast, alright. Leads Lee Jong-suk and Lee Na-young play genius writer and editor Cha Eun-ho, and overqualified copywriter hiding her skillset Kang Dan-yi, respectively.

Jung Eugene plays Song Hae-rin, Gyeoroo Publishing House's assistant manager of the editorial team at content development. Wi Ha-jun plays Ji Seo-joon, a freelance book designer with industry recognition, a straightforward personality and a gentle charm. Kim Tae-woo is Kim Jae-min, the company's CEO with an extraordinary aura, while Kim Yoo-mi is Go Yoo-seon, the cool-headed, charismatic director.

Kim Sun-young is the cool and pragmatic working mom Seo Yeong-ah, Jo Han-chul is the passionate veteran editor Bong Ji-hong, Kang Ki-doong is the newly hired Park Hoon, who believes that everyone has their place, and Park Gyu-young is immature fellow newbie Oh Ji-yool. We got a full house here, and it will hopefully be a great setting for a nice romance.

The drama is being produced by the company behind jTBC's "Misty", Story & Pictures Media, which is some fantastic news. I haven't finished that one yet, but the production quality is obvious and undeniable. "Romance is a Bonus Book" will premiere on the first half of 2019 on tvN.
