[Orion's Daily Ramblings] Seo Yea-ji Smacks the Law into People in New Stills for "Lawless Lawyer"

After Lee Joon-gi's thug-tastic fighting images, Seo Yea-ji takes the battle, and the smacks, to court in these latest stills for "Lawless Lawyer". The actress shows a new image of herself this time around, which she has also commented on. It looks like this feisty duo have more in common than we thought.

Seo Yea-ji plays Ha  Jae-i, a lawyer who (clearly) can't control her temper. She values principles and does not accept the influence of a lawyer's own convictions and beliefs on them. Her life will reach a turning point when she meets Bong Sang-pil (Lee Joon-gi). I expect the two lawyers to bond over more than corporal punishment, but punching is as good an ice breaker as any.

According to the reports accompanying these new stills, Seo Yea-ji pays great attention to her speech, demeanor, pronunciation and all other subtleties in order to portray the challenging role of a lawyer for the first time in her career. She coordinates her efforts with director Kim Jin-min-I, in order to show viewers the best possible lawyer role.

The actress has stated "Although Ha  Jae-i appears like an out of control bulldozer most of the time, she hides pain and nostalgia over her late mother". She also added that we will see her as an actor in a way we have not seen her before, as she tackles new things, such as cutting her hair for the role and trying action acting.

My first experience with Seo Yea-ji as an actor was pretty bad, but her growth since then has been substantial, with "Save Me" being the work that finally convinced me there is enough solid potential there. I hope to see her grow into an accomplished and inspiring actor, and I look forward to her work in "Lawless Lawyer".
