Here he is, ladies and gentlemen. Our crime and time fighting leading detective has been revealed in these first stills from upcoming series "Sketch - Drama". The hero looks plain, or at least as plain as they can make someone like Rain appear, and it looks like we're not catching him at a good time.
"Sketch - Drama" is a series about an ace detective who has lost his loved one, and a sketch artist who can draw the future as it will take place within the next 72 hours. Rain plays Kang Dong-soo, the ace homicide detective who solves cases with his great intuition and successful execution. He dives right in when it comes to catching a criminal, but he is a rational man who logically assesses a situation and keeps his cool even under critical conditions.
Dong-soo is someone whose life was doing great before it all went downhill. He was recognized and respected at his job, and he was about to be married to the woman he loved, before she was tragically killed. The actor will show the character's great transformation as he tries to solve his loved one's murder, while chasing after criminals and trying to change the future.
I've been wondering if "Sketch - Drama" would go for a stylish and sleek apperance, or if it would follow a more down to Earth approach. The premise might feature psychic powers, but I'm glad to see that the hero doesn't chase suspects in formal wear and copious amounts of hair gel. I quite like Rain, and I look forward to Dong-soo's journey.
"Sketch - Drama" is written by Kang Hyeon-seong ("The King's Case Note", "Hidden Identity"), directed by Lim Tae-woo ("Yuna's Street", "The Duo") and it will follow "Pretty Sister Who Buys Me Food" on jTBC in May.
