[Orion's Daily Ramblings] The Fake Bliss of the "Misty" Couple

Today is a "Misty"-heavy day from me, but I'm catching up to quite a lot of material and this bittersweet image crossed my path at some point last week. In what I could only describe as a kick to the romantic stomach, this wedding photo portrays the main couple during their picture-perfect wedding, which is essentially one big lie.

While the two seem like a perfect couple to the outside world, they are nowadays a "window couple", a duo in a business-like arrangement. Hye-ran (Kim Nam-joo) is heavily career-focused to the point of greed, and Tae-wook (Ji Jin-hee) does not understand or like this thirst of hers for power.

More stills have been released since then and more information with them, revealing some things we can already pick up from even the very first teaser. It looks like Tae-wook was quite interested in his wife when they first met. Hye-ran was enthusiastic, confident and not afraid to boldly ask hard questions. This is something which Tae-wook liked about her. The news states that, according to a production representative, the couple used to have a happy marriage before it all turned sour.

The obvious element I mention above is the fact that Tae-wook seems to still care about Hye-ran enough to be very emotionally involved in what happens to her and between them. A possible murder charge would be anyone's perfect opportunity to run who didn't want to be there, but the man stays and fights.

What is it that happened to drive the two so far apart? Is it just a case of one's professional ambitions keeping them too busy to maintain the bond or is there something more to itThe news do state that the marriage was "perfect" in terms of social status, family background and work qualifications, but a love cannot be rekindled if it was never there. Theirs was genuine once.

I hope we get to explore all the lies and truths of "Misty" in an engaging and exciting story.
