[Orion's Daily Ramblings] "The Ghost Detective" Reveals a Chilling Mystery in Highlight Video

Get ready to be spooked and intrigued as we head into this new season, because "The Ghost Detective" is going all out with the chill factor and mystery cases. The upcoming horror drama has released a 6-minute highlight video featuring some yummy horror imagery, and an introduction to the conflict which will likely shape the drama's main story.

The preview gets right into the establishment of the 'A Few Good Men' agency with Lee Da-il (Choi Daniel) and Jeong Yeo-wool's (Park Eun-bin) recruitment alongside founder Han Sang-seop (Kim Won-hae). It's a case of missing children which opens the can of worms that is Yeo-wool's involvement, when the mystery woman in red, played by Lee Ji-ah, appears in a child's drawing.

We already know that the reason our heroine joined the agency was because her younger sister died, but we now learn that it happened a month prior to these events, to what people claim was a suicide. Yeo-wool believes it's murder, and with good reason. On that day, the mystery figure in red was there. Her sister's parting message was that Yeo-wool should run away, and not look at the woman or say a word to her.

It appears that this femme fatale is always present around crimes. A definitely-not-child very eerily asks the father why he killed a woman, which brings about a great haunting scene. The man claims that it's all the mystery woman's doing. I wonder if she possesses people into killing, if she's driving them to the right circumstances, or if she's only an excuse for killers trying to shift the blame.

What's certain is that Da-il and Yeo-wool will be unraveling this case. The video is hitting all the right notes for me. The standalone cases will provide variety and the ability to try different concepts, while remaining related to the main story. I love the horror elements so far, and I'm already bonding with the characters. "The Ghost Detective" couldn't come soon enough. I need it to be next Wednesday already.
