[Orion's Daily Ramblings] "The Player" Delivers Fraud on a Budget in New Posters and Teaser

Upcoming money-stealing drama "The Player" is all about the style and coolness in its new poster, but it's also time to remember that our stylish criminals are working on certain restrictions. The newly released teaser brings their pride right back down to Earth, at least for about two minutes.

The whole set up of vigilantes helping officials is not new, and it looks like "The Player" will take the "Bad Guys", or rather the "Squad 38" approach as well. Our team members are just about to enjoy their spoils of war in the latest teaser, when a security detail arrives. The crooks make their exit, but not before taking their share, and swiping a nice glass of booze to go with it.

The narration by Kang Ha-ri (Song Seung-heon), which is also present as a tagline on the posters goes "The guys who play over the rich have arrived!" Said guys include gal Cha Ah-ryeong (Jung Soo-jung), and I'm hoping that she will fit nicely into the group, and not be underused. I just want the three members to be constantly done with their leader's narcissism, because that would make for a fun dynamic.

"The Player" will be premiering on September 29th on OCN, and although the whole premise doesn't seem terribly exciting now, the tongue-in-cheek tone of the promotional material is just getting to me. I think I'll take a nice look-see.
