[Orion's Daily Ramblings] Writer Park Jae-beom-I Leads Investigative Comedy Drama "Hot Blooded Priest"

In a Dramaland not so obsessed with the conventionally hot youth, Sung Dong-il would lead us all into the adventures of a Catholic priest with anger management issues, which is definitely the catchiest part of this upcoming project by writer Park Jae-beom-I. Personal casting wishes aside, the drama is at its very early stages, but it has been confirmed.

"Hot Blooded Priest" is a story about the aforementioned catholic priest with anger management issues, and a detective from the Gudam Police Station who meet during their joint investigation into the murder of an elderly priest. It is an investigative comedy drama, so it sets itself apart from other upcoming religion-themed projects.

The priest and the detective focus on real social issues such as the exploitation of local welfare institutions, cults, and sexual harassment within organizations. In addition, rather than relying on sensationalism and provocative storytelling, the series reportedly aims to deliver fun and catharsis through a comedic and human approach.

SBS has stated that aside from the writer and the goal of a November broadcast, the production is still being planned, so we have to wait for a PD and cast. I've thoroughly enjoyed Park Jae-beom-I's work on the "God's Quiz" series, and I hear "Chief Kim" is also great. "Blood" was a disappointment for me, but "Hot Blooded Priest" sounds exciting.
