[Orion's Drama News] Legends, Love and Greed

New dramas, new information and goodies on said dramas and a new set of personally watched shows bring color to my week and I am here as usual to share it with you. "The Legend of the Blue Sea" is going swimmingly and I bring goodies from the drama once more. I bring friendships, greed and love triangles from "Night Light" and take a look at two upcoming jTBC shows.

Just Keep Swimming

The love for Jun Ji-hyun is great among drama fans so get ready for their Jeon-fueled happy dance. There are new stills for "The Legend of the Blue Sea" out featuring the lovely actress, there are teaser videos and then more teasing. The series is coming out next week and while I am one of those heathens who dropped "My Love from the Star", I do find the teasers funny and captivating. I hope the drama will deliver good entertainment.

(B)Romance on the Way

I am highly entertained by how different "Strong Woman Do Bong-soon" and "Man to Man" are and it is comforting to see that jTBC continues to bring out diverse content. The first show is about the life of a She-Hulk and, going by the descriptions, this is quite a literal statement, green color and bulging muscles aside. "Man to Man" is about manly men bonding in manly fashion. Both concepts can go very wrong, but I cannot deny their potential.

"Night Light", Money Terrors

If I ask a crowd to "Please step forward if you know a drama about people fighting over money" I would be met with a stampede putting "The Lion King" to shame (forever too soon, I know). Yet this is pretty much the premise of "Night Light". We get romance, of course, so here are some stills from it. We also get a hinted lady friendship in this teaser, which Dramaland could always use more of. Let us hope the series is not as boring as it sounds.

Upcoming Drama Goodies

"Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo" is piling on the romance in its latest teaser and soccer-themed poster, which confuses me with its choice of sport. "Oh My Geum-bi", the drama about a child with Niemman-Pick disease has two teasers out and some adorable posters. A variety of material is out for "Golden Pocket" and also for "Drama Special - Laughter Disqualified". On the casting side, Jeon Da-sol turns wicked second lead in "My Secret Romance" while Yoo Seung-ho and Kim So-hyun form a power duo in "Ruler: Master of the Mask".

Followed Dramas

"Entourage" and "Dr. Romantic" have left me frustrated and disappointed, but also curious with their premiere episodes. I am holding on to hope that their few good and entertaining elements will begin to shine soon. I obviously prefer to enjoy the dramas I cover. My older shows have ended, so reviews for those will be coming out in within the next few weeks.
