[Orion's Ramblings] "Partners for Justice Season 2" Teases the New and the Familiar in Fresh Posters

The anticipation for "Partners for Justice Season 2", the second season to the surprisingly successful "Partners for Justice", is getting a big boost of excitement with posters teasing its new faces and familiar places. The production is out to get us, and it leaves no one behind.

PD Noh Do-cheol expressed his thoughts on the new promotional goodies, saying "I wanted to portray the overall atmosphere of the work through the public posters. I want to provide audiences with riveting suspense and fun through a Baek Beom (Jung Jae-young) who is more intense and in stronger cooperative bonds than last season".

The element of cooperation is particularly emphasized in the poster featuring Baek Beom and Eun Sol (Jung Yoo-mi), complete with the straightforward tagline "The crime has evolved, the cooperation has advanced". The group poster shows us many of the familiar characters we met in season one, along with a menacingly lit No Min-woo. I don't trust him with a scalpel now.

My personal favorite is the thematically more interesting solo poster for Baek Beom. While he wouldn't be caught dead with such a messy workspace, the poster is oozing with nostalgia. Beom loves his macabre naps. What really tugs at my heartstrings, however, is the line "People are flowers, be gentle", which summarizes an important part of the ethics in the National Forensic Service.

In season one, it decorates a banner during the mass memorial services the staff holds for the people they process every day. Director Park Joong-ho (Joo Jin-mo-I) explains to Eun Sol that it's important for anyone working with bodies day in and day out to remember that they were once people blooming in life like flowers, showing utmost respect for the lives lost.

My feelings for this second season went from "oh, nice" to "give me" as more promotional goodies started coming out, but seeing most of the old crew back together and witnessing the effort to create a whole through both seasons makes me happy. "Partners for Justice Season 2" is just two weeks away, and my grabby hands are ready.
