The 100 limited-edition packs containing stamps, a phone card and a commemorative coin will go on sale in May for 698 yuan, followed by a separate release of the products in August.

Park will feature on phone cards worth 15 and 30 yuan and stamps worth 0.80 yuan, which can be used across China.

The release is part of a project by China's Ministry of Posts and Communications and China Post to recognize 100 influential figures in art and culture.

Park is the fifth celebrity to feature after four China's favorite celebrities like Donnie Yen and Patrick Tam.

Local press reports said Park is seen as a Korean actor who has shown sincere respect for China.

He is mainly famous there for the lead in the Chinese production "Duo Duo's Marriage" in 2011, followed by his appearance in the Korean hit soap drama, "My Love from the Star"
