The Jacob Burns Film Center will hold an "unique and unprecedented mini-retrospective" of Korean actor Park Joong-hoon's films. Renowned director Jonathan Demme (Silence of the Lambs) who worked with PARK on the film The Truth About Charlie (2002), and longtime friend and colleague Ahn Sung-ki will accompany PARK at selected screenings for a Q&A.

The retrospective will take place from April 11 until April 17. PARK, AHN and Demme will attend the Opening Night, Wednesday April 11. It will start at 7PM and includes the screening of the film "Radio Star" (Lee Joon-ik, 2006) and a Q&A. The trio will also be present for a Q&A on Sunday April 15. The film programmed that evening is "Nowhere To Hide" (Lee Myung-se, 1999).

Demme says about the event and PARK, "Joong-hoon Park is one of Korea's greatest movie stars and, more importantly, one of the finest and most charming actors working anywhere in cinema today. I am enormously thrilled and proud to be part of this series (). Once again, the Burns is up front with the hippest movie programming in the country". The Jacob Burns Film Center calls PARK "one of Asia's biggest stars".

Demme's influential 1999 thriller Silence of the Lambs won five Academy Awards, including the Best Director Award for Demme. Another popular and critical acclaimed film by Demme is the 1993 drama Philadelphia.

The event is supported by the Korean Film Council. The Jacob Burns Film Center is located in Pleasantville near Manhattan. Additional information can be found on their website: Open the link
