2005/08/08 Source

Hallyu star Park Sol-mi has been named spokesperson for the 5th Gwangju International Film Festival, regarded as the cradle of stardom. Park received her appointment certificate at a press conference for the festival held August 8 at the Migliore Cinema in Gwangju. She will publicize the festival for 10 days starting from August 26.

The actress filmed the official poster of the festival on August 7. "I heard that all the previous spokespersons for the Gwangju film festival became big stars", said Park jokingly when introducing the festival's previous four spokespersons, including Jang Nara and Moon Geun-young. "I will do my best so that this festival thrives for a long time in the future", added Park.

Park also said she will meet with viewers in person to fulfill her responsibilities as the festival's publicist, and would like to meet Hong Kong star Rosamund Kwan, who will participate in the festival with her movie "Hairdresser", which will be screened at the opening ceremony.
